"Lost rounds at 15 yard line" | Keith Ingersoll's bombed firearms qualification exam
By - realworldpolice
Hey let me jump in here. It is worth noting that this had to be his backup (off duty) gun. A bodyguard. 380 is an absolutely shit pistol and will NEVER be a primary.
I was a State Firearms instructor and bought this same pistol for my wife. She hated it, I tried it and realized why. Worst gun in the world. I can have you just look at youtube and you will see countless examples.
I work at a LGS and we have a Bass Pro right up the street. I cannot tell you how many times they push these shitty things on women, then almost universally they or their husband comes in to trade for something that it is at least usable. A bodyguard .380 is one of the worst guns being produced today. For the record, I own one and am ashamed to say it.
That God damn trigger pull and travel is absolutely ridiculous. I got her a sig 365 now and a g43.
Perfect. Most of the time I end up selling them EZs or 365s. I have a 365 for myself (I am a woman btw) and I love it. Glocks are banned in my communist state of MA.
Glocks are banned? You have to be shitting me? Just the brand?
I am carrying a 365 myself.
It is confusing.
Glocks are on the approved firearms roster (yes that's a real thing)
However, our attorney general sent a letter to all ffls saying anyone caught selling new Glocks (nothing newer than gen2) will be prosecuted. Police officers can still buy brand new stuff, since they are exempt from the AWB. This leads to every cop in the state having bought a new Glock for themselves and selling some to civilians privately. The only way to get a new Glock in MA is through private purchase or building one. To build one you'll need to find an ffl that will play the frame game.
That is absolutely stupid. Wow. Sorry you guys are dealing with that.
I kinda feel like MA is forgotten about in the anti 2A states. The atf copied our ar pistol rules and no one knew. Also now our red flag laws. Everyone thinks of CA, NY and NJ, but I honestly think we may be worse. It's just so subtle and no one speaks out about it here
Well, I am educated now. Thank you... I will pass this on to the others
Thank you and please. This is an official sos from a MA gun owner.
I'm reading while stressed, a horrible combo for my comprehension level, and read through your response as "I was a State Farm instructor...." and completed without noticing an issue. After, I'm like "hmm I wonder what type of insurance sales they feel warrant the rep needing protection?" Then, proceeded to Google why must insurance agents carry firearms. I then went down a rabbithole of the Hell insurance investigators go through. All this just to come back to comment to you and find... That is not at all what you said nor meant. Thank God it's Friday!!!
That gave me a fantastic laugh.
>this had to be his backup (off duty) gun
Do you know who this post is about?
Oh I see who its about, and I think he is a shit bird. But this qualification was definitely him trying to have a backup or off duty gun for HR-218 purposes
Trust, a man who has that type of obsession with police, and then trash them so badly when gets nailed on a DUI, has a very tiny gun and he knows it.
[In case you don't know who I am talking about.](https://rwp.yt/rr1)
[And part two.](https://rwp.yt/rr2)
I love that woman's tone when he's spouting off at the mouth to her.
Not having any experience with firearms (Australian), can someone provide some explanation of these comments? Does lost rounds mean that Ingersoll literally dropped or misplaced bullets for his weapon? What do "sight alignment" and "sight picture" issues typically translate to from a practical perspective?
When aiming the gun, you align the front sight with the rear sight. Think of a V shape at the rear and an I shape at the front of the gun. You want the I aligned in the middle of the V as you look down the gun while aiming. The top of the I should be level with the top of the V. That would put your bullet right on target. That’s an ideal “sight picture”. Anything too high, low, left or right would put you off target.
Lost rounds means he completely missed the target.
The particular gun he is shooting is unusually small and unusually in-accurate and he is by all appearances a little bit bigger than average, which makes the gun harder for him to hold. He needs a bigger gun for his bigger hands. Well and to generally not be a douche bag also.
Thank you for this explanation.
Was he blindfolded?
